GRAND KNIGHTS MESSAGE: JULY 2010

Brother Knights,

Happy new fraternal year. My name is Geoff Estes and I am honored to be serving in the role of Grand Knight this year. I am sorry this email did not get out sooner. I am still in the process of figuring out all my new responsibilities and I was waiting until the State organizational meeting was over this weekend to finalize some dates and information to send out to you. Please find a newsletter for our council attached to this email. You will receive a monthly newsletter this year highlighting upcoming events and programs as well as information from state and supreme. I ask that you please take the time to read it. The newsletter will also be available on our council website: http://www.9488.kofcva.org/.

Some late information: If you get this email in time, please make it a point to stop by Johnston hall today for the blood drive. This one kind of slipped by me. We will post these dates from now on so people know.

July Business meeting: Our next business meeting will take place this Tuesday, July 13th with Rosary starting at 7:15 pm in Johnston Hall. Officers, please try to be there at 7:00 pm for set up. Please e-mail me any agenda items you would like to see on this months agenda by Tuesday morning, July 13th. I will always do my best to get your item on the agenda. I would like to stay away from surprise items as much as possible.

No social meeting this month: I know that many people are traveling now so we will not host a social meeting this month. I know I will be away that week as well as others I have spoken to. In lieu of this meeting, I am asking all officers in the council to attend an officers meeting for planning purposes on the evening of July 20th at my home at 6:30 pm. I live at 48 Maplehurst Avenue in Harrisonburg. (The street that the CCM house is on). Please RSVP to me so that I know how many to plan for.

I am truly looking forward to working with each of you this year. If you need me for any reason, please feel free to contact me.
